Fairmont Grand Del Mar Hotel

Del Mar, San Diego

Old world elegance with modern luxury

The Grand Del Mar is enormous, with Spanish colonial-style architecture, marble columns in the lobby, fireplaces, and wood accents. But touches like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and free valet parking on an Escalade or Mercedes ensure that guests will get a thoroughly modern luxury experience.

Although the decor is undeniably romantic, there is not much for families to do either. The hotel has a center for teenagers, a kids club, an equestrian center, tennis courts with free racket rentals, and golf lessons.
